As a Senior Software Development Director, you will be responsible for leading the vision and execution of software design and development for critical components of our Health and AI platform. Your experience in distributed systems and software architecture will be invaluable as you guide your team towards excellence. In this greenfield development environment, you will have the freedom to innovate without the constraints of legacy systems. You will lead the creation of a highly scalable ingestion system that processes vast amounts of events generated by our cloud services, enabling our customers to respond to real-time data effectively.

Responsibilities

• With excellent communication skills, you can articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• You thrive in collaborative environments, successfully leading discussions with designers, engineers, and product managers.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, you take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
• You are adept at working across various levels of technology stacks.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in shipping software services.
• 5+ years of experience in a managerial role.
• Strong background in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, and distributed storage technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science.
• Experience in a start-up environment.
• Proven ability to deliver and operate large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Unix-like operating systems.
• Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a plus.
• Familiarity with identity and access management technologies like OAuth, OIDC, and XACML.
• A good understanding of cloud technologies and services such as OCI.

Compensation and Benefits
