The Custodian performs heavy janitorial work concentrating on cleaning and upkeep of. Chaminade University buildings and surrounding areas. Primary duties are custodial, grounds keeping, and setting up for events, as well as assisting maintenance personnel when required. This position is temporary until tentatively December 31, 2026. Reports to:Direct Report to: Custodian Lead. Indirect Report to: Assistant Director of Facilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Custodial (35% of work time)Perform heavy manual janitorial tasks to clean furnishing and building common areas (interior and exterior). Perform routine maintenance on janitorial equipment. Vacuum and shampoo carpets as required. Clean, sweep, scrub, mop, dust, and wax, as appropriate, the floors, windows, walls, woodwork, fixtures, rugs, restrooms and other facilities. Dispose of trash and waste materials. Remove litter in and around buildings.
