As a valued member of the Storage Control Plane team, you will take ownership of software design and development for essential components and features that orchestrate the Storage Service. A proficient programmer with a broad understanding of distributed systems is crucial, as you will delve into various aspects of the stack and engage in designing intricate interactions within distributed systems. Embrace simplicity and scalability while collaborating in an agile environment, and bring your enthusiasm for learning to the table.

Responsibilities

We are looking for hands-on engineers with a strong passion for addressing challenging issues in distributed systems and highly available storage services. In the role of Senior Technical Staff Member, you will lead software design and development for major components of our Storage Service Infrastructure. You must be a solid coder and distributed systems generalist, capable of diving deep into the Control Plane stack and low-level systems, while also designing broad distributed system interactions. Responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software for databases, applications, tools, networks, and more.
• Working collaboratively with a focus on delivering scalable and efficient solutions for a rapidly growing service.

Minimum Qualification

• Over 5 years of experience delivering large-scale, highly available distributed systems and backend services.
• Extensive experience writing clean code in Java (or similar object-oriented languages) and scripting in Python.
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of storage systems (block/object/file) and distributed persistence technologies.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only:

US: Hiring range in USD from: $79,800 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
