About the Opportunity

Hawai‘i Pacific Health is seeking a board eligible / board certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist for a full-time employed position to join our team on the island of O‘ahu.

What You'll Do:

• Provide comprehensive pediatric anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents across a wide range of surgical and procedural services, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, GI, plastics, and neonatal/pediatric subspecialties.

• Deliver age‑appropriate perioperative care for patients with routine to medically complex conditions, including those requiring sedation outside the OR (e.g., imaging, interventional radiology, and emergency procedures).

• Practice within a collaborative care‑team model , working closely with pediatric subspecialists, surgeons, and anesthesia colleagues in a physician‑led department dedicated to excellence in child‑centered care.

• Participate in weekday and call coverage as part of a shared, equitable schedule supporting 24/7 pediatric and neonatal anesthesia needs.

• Contribute to a culture of safety, compassion, education, and continuous quality improvement , with opportunities for teaching, multidisciplinary collaboration, and participation in program development for pediatric anesthesia services.

Qualifications: ·

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology

• Eligible for Hawai‘i medical licensure

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach to care

About each facility on Oahu Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai‘i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit medical center delivers an average of 6,000 babies per year and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi‘olani. Straub Benioff Medical Center Straub Benioff Medical Center is a 159-bed medical center in Honolulu. With nearly 600 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub Benioff provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology.
