About the Opportunity

Hawai‘i Pacific Health is seeking a board eligible / board certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist for a full-time employed position to join our team on the island of O‘ahu.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents across a wide range of surgical and procedural services, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, GI, plastics, and neonatal/pediatric subspecialties.

  • Deliver age‑appropriate perioperative care for patients with routine to medically complex conditions, including those requiring sedation outside the OR (e.g., imaging, interventional radiology, and emergency procedures).

  • Practice within a collaborative care‑team model , working closely with pediatric subspecialists, surgeons, and anesthesia colleagues in a physician‑led department dedicated to excellence in child‑centered care.

  • Participate in weekday and call coverage as part of a shared, equitable schedule supporting 24/7 pediatric and neonatal anesthesia needs.

  • Contribute to a culture of safety, compassion, education, and continuous quality improvement , with opportunities for teaching, multidisciplinary collaboration, and participation in program development for pediatric anesthesia services.

Qualifications: ·

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology

  • Eligible for Hawai‘i medical licensure

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach to care

It is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit medical center delivers an average of 6,000 babies per year and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi‘olani. Straub Benioff Medical Center Straub Benioff Medical Center is a 159-bed medical center in Honolulu.
