The Appointment Scheduler role is primarily responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments. This role works closely with the administrative, clinical, and management teams to support patient care efforts.

This role provides support to clinical functions as the administrative support and the position includes, and not limited to:

  • Scheduling appointments, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments
  • Assisting with Nurse Practitioner requests in a group chat setting, in-baskets scheduling requests, creating CRMs to document each call
  • Updating members insurance and registration, phone call reminders, and assisting with special projects as needed

You will focus on:

  • Registering patients for their appointment; confirms and/or updates insurance coverage and patient demographic information
  • Supporting incoming calls and other correspondences, including scheduling and confirming appointments, triaging calls for clinical team
  • Conducting outbound cold calls to prospective patients to schedule clinical assessment appointments
  • Handling objections or questions from patients and use problem-solving skills to overcome challenges in scheduling
  • Tracking and reporting scheduling metrics, such as appointment rates and conversion of calls to booked appointments
  • Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations when handling patient information and scheduling appointments
  • The skills, experience, and education you bring:

    • High School graduate or equivalent
    • 3-5 years of experience in health care in the following areas: patient scheduling, insurance verification, medical record data abstraction, or patient financial services
    • Bilingual in Tagalog, Ilocano, Japanese, Spanish, or Olelo (Hawaiian)

    The hourly base salary for this position is $17.00-22.00/hour. In addition, we provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description.
