Summary:
The Network Security Engineer manages firewalls and network perimeter security systems. Documents and reports all systems changes, upgrades and entry requests. Develops pro-active network security procedures designed to prevent intrusion attacks. Performs network system security audits. Analyzes risk factors and recommends procedure and products to prevent intrusion attacks.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of network security principles, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and zero-trust architectures
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation
Experience securing enterprise networks, on-prem and cloud environments
Proficiency with security monitoring, SIEM tools, and incident response procedures
Knowledge of vulnerability management, penetration testing concepts, and remediation practices
Familiarity with encryption technologies, PKI, and secure authentication methods
Ability to interpret and apply security standards and frameworks
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills

The salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually.
