About our Medical Assistant - Phlebotomy position
Under the supervision and direction of the Health Center Manager, provides support to patients and co-workers by performing, with accuracy and timeliness, a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center.
What you will be doing!
Responding to patient requests and coordinating services. Answering questions, providing patient education and referrals. Ensuring exam rooms are prepared. Assisting with keeping appointments on time and optimizing the flow. Performing all front and back-office responsibilities as required by the health center.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients by responding to requests and coordinating services from appropriate personnel or departments as needed.
Establish and prepare documents for patient records and patient services; completes patient insurance information and enters visit data into PPGNHAIK systems.
Provide non-judgmental, client-centered care, and provide accurate information by answering questions and providing appropriate resources.
Utilize comprehensive knowledge of birth control methods and reproductive health services to provide patient education. Provide Planned Parenthood Patient Education Sheets, (PES) and Informed Consent Forms, (ICF) Client and offers Planned Parenthood services or community resources for identified patient needs.
Provide patients and co-workers with excellent customer service in all interactions and tasks. Utilize service recovery when appropriate and seeks assistance from co-workers or the health center manager to ensure resolution.
Perform all lab tests, collection, and packaging of lab specimens in compliance with agency, lab, and state policy and procedure.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent plus one to two years' experience in a medical setting.
Salary Range:
$18.45 to $27.68 hourly
