Kim Orthodontics is looking for a reliable, detail-driven Sterilization Technician to help keep our clinic safe, efficient, and patient-ready every day. This role is essential to our team. You'll be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and equipment according to strict health and safety standards, while keeping the sterilization area organized and running smoothly. Your work ensures our clinical team has everything they need, and our patients receive care in a safe, hygienic environment.

Job Type: Full-time and on-site

Job Location: Ala Moana Center Honolulu, Hawaii

Work Schedule:

  • 7:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • 4 days a week

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain an organized sterilization area, ensuring all tools are properly stored after sterilization.
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance of sterilization equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Document and track sterilization processes, including monitoring sterilization cycles.
  • Assist in the cleaning and disinfection of treatment rooms and common areas within the practice.
  • Educate staff on proper sterilization protocols and procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures, reporting any compliance issues to management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a dental or medical sterilization role is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively within a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate with the clinical team.

Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
