POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Q CELLS Home Energy Solutions seeks a Market Entry Specialist to lead the company's expansion into new US markets through strategic planning and regulatory expertise. As Market Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for researching regulatory and operational requirements for solar sales and installations, managing business registrations, coordinating licensing applications, and ensuring compliance with state or market-specific regulations. The Market Entry Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining compliance continuity through organized records of all documentation and renewal deadlines.

This is a key position directly supporting the company's geographic growth strategy. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with prior experience navigating multi-state regulatory environments and managing complex licensing processes. This position is primarily remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and document all regulatory requirements, licensing needs, and business registration procedures for target states or markets prior to market entry
• Research and document operational processes specific to solar installations in target markets, such as interconnection with major utilities, permitting, and available incentive or rebate programs
• Manage end-to-end business entity registration processes, including filing formation documents, obtaining tax IDs, and registering with state agencies
• Administrative support to coordinate and maintain all professional licenses required for solar installation operations, including home improvement contractor licenses, electrical licenses, and/or specialty solar certifications as required
• Manage insurance policy requirements across multiple states, working with internal stakeholders and/or insurance brokers directly to ensure proper coverage levels and compliance with state-specific mandates
• Submit and track applications for licenses, and registrations, including proactive follow-up with regulatory agencies to expedite approvals
• Maintain organized records of all compliance documentation, renewal dates, and regulatory correspondence
• Develop and implement standardized processes and checklists for future market expansion efforts
• Monitor regulatory changes in active markets and communicate impacts to leadership and operations teams
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on complex compliance matters
• Serve as primary point of contact with state regulatory agencies, licensing boards, and administrative offices
• Prepare reports on market entry progress, regulatory challenges, and compliance status for leadership review

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, licensing, business operations, or related administrative roles
• Proven experience managing multi-state licensing or registration processes
• Strong research skills with ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with government agencies and internal stakeholders
• Proficiency with project management tools and document management systems
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
• Experience working with government agencies and navigating bureaucratic processes
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify creative solutions to regulatory challenges
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in solar, renewable energy, or construction industries
• Previous work with contractor licensing, electrical licensing, or specialty trade certifications
• Familiarity with solar-specific regulations such as interconnection requirements, net metering policies, and solar permitting processes
• Knowledge of business entity structures and state-specific business formation requirements
• Experience with insurance requirements for construction or contractor operations
• Project management certification (PMP, CAPM) or similar credential
• Established relationships with state licensing boards or regulatory agencies
• Experience implementing compliance management systems or process improvement initiatives
• Understanding of electrical codes, building codes, and inspection processes related to solar installations

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job's minimum qualifications.
