Job Summary:

Join our dynamic team at enGen as a Senior Data Solutions Analyst, where you will play a critical role in managing complex healthcare data utilizing Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards. Your expertise in healthcare data analytics will empower you to make significant contributions towards improving health outcomes, optimizing costs, and enhancing the overall member experience. You will ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data throughout various platforms, from concept to continuous support.

This position is vital for the secure exchange of clinical outcomes and membership data among healthcare providers and payers. You will help ensure compliance with federal regulations and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) standards while supporting Highmark Health's strategic objectives: reducing the cost of care, enhancing health equity, improving health outcomes, and elevating both customer and provider experiences.

Key Skills:

  • Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)
  • Cloud & Big Data Platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Healthcare Data Engine (HDE), BigQuery, PostgreSQL
  • EHR Systems: Epic, Cerner (and similar)
  • ETL Tools & Scripting Languages: Python, PySpark

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead collaboration with customers, Data Software Engineers, and cross-functional teams to identify needs and deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Proactively solve complex data challenges and ensure successful project outcomes through data-driven insights.
  • Offer subject matter expertise for projects, particularly in new strategic initiatives affecting current systems.
  • Ensure all projects comply with required standards and proper approvals throughout their lifecycle.
  • Interface with stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions while maximizing value and minimizing costs.
  • Support requirement testing processes to maintain high standards and minimize defects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders by conducting requirement walkthroughs, project status updates, and documentation tasks.
  • Provide thought leadership in Data, Product, and Technology Solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:

Required:

  • 7 years of experience in Information Systems or IT.

Preferred:

  • 5 years of experience in Process Improvement.
  • 3 years of experience in Project Management.
  • 3 years of experience in the Health Insurance Industry.
  • 3 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry.

Position Type:

This role may involve occasional teaching or training of others and limited travel between sites.

Pay Range: Minimum $78,900.00 - Maximum $147,500.00
