Flight Operations Coordinator

Hourly Rate: $27.40

Job Summary

As a Flight Operations Coordinator, you will be the critical link in our patient transport services. Your role involves managing both emergent and non-emergent transport requests via telephone while utilizing a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to assign the most suitable air unit for each situation. You will serve as the central communication hub among the Flight Team and various departments, ensuring seamless operations. Proficiency in CAD systems, mapping software, communications equipment, and multi-line telephone systems will be essential.

Essential Functions/Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, co-workers, and management.
• Receive and manage all medical transport requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Utilize excellent listening skills to document all interactions accurately.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Coordinate medical transport assignments and handle cancellations or declines by exploring alternatives.
• Maintain accurate data entries within the CAD system for all requests.
• Actively monitor aircraft in flight and update their positions in the CAD system.
• Report any issues to the Flight Coordinator Supervisor promptly.
• Facilitate necessary communications with partners and the Flight Team as required.
• Engage and collaborate as a proactive team member to achieve organizational goals.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to multitask effectively.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
• Proficient in computer usage.
