Punahou's food services department manages the complex logistics of feeding over 3,600 students and 600 faculty and staff daily. We are committed to providing healthy, sustainable food options, including:

  • Fresh and Local: Emphasis on fresh fruits, vegetables, and locally sourced meats and produce.
  • Nutritional Quality: Focus on low-fat, high-protein meats with minimal processed foods.
  • Health Standards: No artificial trans fats, high fructose corn syrups, or deep-fat fried foods.

The Food Service Administration Manager assists the Director in managing administrative functions, including department financials, staff supervision, purchasing, receiving, and facility maintenance. This role also serves as the Systems Administrator for the department's Inventory Management System and Nutrition Analysis System.

Position Details
  • Work Year: 12 Months.
  • Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Schedule may vary based on operational needs).
  • Minimum Annual Salary: $63,000

Punahou School offers a comprehensive total rewards program. The displayed rate is the minimum annual salary; final pay is determined by knowledge, skills, abilities, training, experience, and internal equity.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of related food service experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Experience in office administration, preferably in food service operations.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management or equivalent computer-based systems (F&B environment preferred).
  • Prior knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • ServSafe Certification (or equivalent) is required. If not held upon hire, it must be obtained within six (6) months.
