-Key Responsibilities:
Ability to follow instructions
Adhere to safety procedures at all times
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in assigned duties, including: Sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning spills, restrooms, offices, sidewalks, pathways, window sills, railings, stairways, parking lots, removing bird droppings, light scrubbing, and clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
Involves a lot of walking and pushing a utility cart
Restock cleaning supplies as needed
Empty trash receptacles, wastebaskets, and recyclables, disposing of them in designated areas
Multi-task and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service
Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, vendors, and property managers
Report safety issues or building problems (e.g., burnt light bulbs)
Notify the appropriate HBM employee regarding needed supplies and equipment for cleaning duties
Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or property manager
-Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Must pass a background check
Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, but willing to train enthusiastic candidates
Strong public relations and communication skills
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Capable of performing basic manual labor, including: Cleaning common areas, frequently lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying a minimum of 30 lbs (up to 50 lbs), reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking, and standing throughout shifts
Experience operating various cleaning machinery preferred but not required (e.g., leaf blower, power washer, floor scrubber) is preferred but not necessary
-Schedule: 5 days, 40 hours per week:
Sunday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Wednesday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Thursday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Saturday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
-Compensation per hour: $16.00
