Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and payments. This position requires strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to completing assignments promptly. Free parking provided!

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices with accuracy, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
• Prepare and issue payments, including cutting checks and handling check runs.
• Reconcile activity postings to statements and maintain organized records.
• File invoices and other documents into vendor folders systematically.
• Handle client checks through e-capture, ensuring timely processing.
• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Utilize software tools such as Excel, Outlook, and Deltek Ajera for efficient task management.
• Maintain a sense of urgency in completing tasks and prioritizing workload.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in all activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of six months of general accounting experience, with preference for accounts payable expertise.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work diligently and meet deadlines consistently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with answering phones is required.
• Familiarity with Deltek Ajera or similar accounting software is a plus.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data accurately.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.
