A day in the life as a Senior Customer Analytics Analyst...
- Conduct in-depth statistical analysis and modeling of complex business problems, using data from internal and external sources to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders
- Identify, interpret, and communicate key trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets, using visualization and storytelling techniques to drive decision-making
- Design and implement rigorous experimental frameworks (e.g., A/B tests) to measure the effectiveness of new products or business strategies
- Design, implement, and optimize complex SQL queries and data structures (views, analytical tables) to efficiently support ongoing data analysis and analytical model development
- Evaluate, select, and champion data analytics tools and technologies to enhance the team's modeling, analysis, and visualization capabilities
- Actively participate in and champion team ceremonies, authoring analytical user stories and defining acceptance criteria that contribute to the successful delivery of sprint goals
- Work closely with product managers, data engineers, and business leaders to deeply understand analytical requirements and translate them into precise data methodologies
- Drive the creation and maintenance of high-quality documentation for all data models, analytical pipelines, and statistical assumptions, ensuring transparency and reproducibility
- Drive personal and team growth by actively tracking industry trends and new statistical/analytical methods, and proactively engaging in learning activities to elevate technical expertise
What you'll bring to the table... - Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data querying, manipulation, and optimization of joins and database performance
- Expertise in Data Visualization Tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for advanced dashboard development and effective analytical storytelling
- In-depth knowledge of Data Analysis Principles, including statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and data warehousing concepts
- Ability to design and develop sophisticated data visualizations and interactive dashboards that clearly communicate analytical findings
- Proven experience with Data Mining and feature engineering techniques for extracting complex patterns from large datasets, preferably using Python or R
- Strong skills in Predictive Modeling for developing accurate forecasting models and evaluating model performance
- Excellent collaboration, influence, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex data findings and recommendations to diverse audiences
We'd love to hear from you if you have... - 5+ years of professional experience in a hands-on Data Analyst or Analytical role
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience). A Master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex data analytics projects and models, preferably in an agile environment
- Strong proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (Python or R) used for advanced analysis
