We are looking for a highly organized, collaborative, and experienced Site Selection Specialist to join our Data Center Site Selection team. If you excel in negotiating complex deals and possess a deep understanding of the legal agreements involved, you could be the perfect fit. We need someone who can think strategically and analytically, develop innovative solutions, and navigate the challenges typical of large-scale leasing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Meta's data center location strategy in the designated areas, managing site selection efforts for real estate while collaborating with teams focused on economic development, energy and utilities, network connectivity, legal, policy, and financial considerations.
Lead discussions on feasibility and negotiate contracts with service providers, property owners, economic development agencies, and utility companies.
Negotiate letters of intent, land or building purchases, economic development incentives, and other site-specific agreements, including power supply negotiations.
Collaborate with internal teams including capacity planning, energy initiatives, data center design, construction, network engineering, legal, policy, communications, and finance.
Prepare site location recommendations and present them to management for approval.
Develop metrics and tracking mechanisms for portfolio management and interact with external lease management companies.
Maintain robust relationships with local communities and service providers to support Meta's data center developments, monitor ongoing contractual commitments, and facilitate expansions through extensions or new agreements.
Willingness to travel domestically over 50% of the time.

The salary range for this position is $202,000/year to $273,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
