Position Overview
The Pricing Analyst supports pricing team in setting optimized prices in market, identifying margin & revenue opportunities, improving dashboards & tools, and tracking results of programs. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and queries to support pricing analysis and performance monitoring.
- Proactively run recurring reports and provide structured analysis to support business updates, pricing reviews, and ongoing pricing maintenance initiatives.
- Interpret data to identify business trends, margin opportunities, revenue gaps, and performance variances.
- Conduct root cause analysis on pricing or profitability issues and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Data Management & Integrity - Ensure pricing data accuracy and integrity across systems and reporting tools.
- Validate datasets, troubleshoot discrepancies, and update data as needed to maintain reliable analytics outputs.
- Support continuous improvement of pricing tools, dashboards, and reporting processes.
Cross-Functional Support & Business Partnership - Assist Pricing leadership and other business leaders with ad-hoc analysis, modeling, and decision support as needed.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to translate analytical findings into practical pricing actions.
- Provide analytical support for pricing programs and track performance against defined objectives.
Training & Knowledge Sharing - Coach and train members of the Pricing and Sales teams on pricing analysis concepts, tools, and dashboard usage.
- Promote data literacy and disciplined pricing practices across the organization.
Additional Responsibilities - Perform other duties as assigned to support Pricing and Corporate objectives.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree required; degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or other quantitative field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, business analytics, or a related function required.
- Excel Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and large dataset manipulation.
- Business Intelligence Tools: Intermediate Power BI skills required; advanced Power BI capabilities preferred, including dashboard development and data visualization best practices.
- Technical Skills: Querying and coding experience a plus (e.g., SQL, Python, or similar tools) to support data extraction, automation, and advanced analysis.
- Mathematical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mathematics and pricing fundamentals, with the ability to calculate and validate pricing quickly and accurately.
- Analytical Strength: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable business insights.
- Work Style: Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and proactively resolve issues.
- Subject Matter Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of pricing principles, margin management, and revenue optimization concepts.
Compensation and BenefitsReports To Vice President of Pricing
Compensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for the position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
- Base: $80,000 - $90,000 per Year
- Bonus: 10% Target Bonus
- Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $85,000 - $105,000
- Equity: This role is not eligible.
