A comprehensive understanding of areas such as hardware, OS, cloud, and security is essential.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Fine-tuning your technical skills with Linux OS and security features, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines while also grasping high-level design.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams from diverse backgrounds.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively.
  • Exercising strong troubleshooting skills and exhibiting a curiosity to investigate and understand new issues thoroughly.

Key Contributions Include:

  • Designing architectures and developing new services that can operate reliably at an extremely large scale.
  • Implementing features ranging from OS-level configuration changes to OS agents and deployment pipelines.
  • Balancing speed and quality while proposing iterative and incremental improvements.
  • Infusing a culture of operational excellence and proactivity within your team.
  • Providing data-driven recommendations for substantial changes to new and existing products and fostering consensus.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience developing code at the Linux OS level (agents, plugins, daemons).
  • Expertise with Linux distributions, preferably Debian, and experience with open source tools, GitHub, deployment pipelines, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of Linux security and compliance measures.
  • Experience in building and packaging software components.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Go, C, Java, and Bash.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a commitment to honest communication.
  • A positive, can-do attitude when tackling challenges.
  • A collaborative spirit, able to work with team members at all skill levels and willing to go the extra mile when necessary.

The salary range for this position is between $79,200 and $178,100 per year and may include bonus and equity opportunities.
