GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Store Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in Store Leadership, entrusted with managing a specific area of the Store while also overseeing general operations as the Manager on Duty. Responsibilities include opening and closing the Store, supervising Associates, and ensuring a friendly shopping environment. You'll ensure proper merchandise presentation and cleanliness at all times, while also executing and supervising Company processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Safety & Security:

  • Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors.
  • Create a safe shopping environment by monitoring the sales floor, correcting unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Oversee store security, including entrance control and daily functions of security equipment.
  • Ensure safety for customers, including managing accidents and emergency procedures.

Customer Service:

  • Show respect and courtesy to all Customers and Associates.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and friendliness, recognizing team achievements.

Brand Representation:

  • Support and embody Ross' brand values at all times.
  • Maintain a professional appearance according to Company standards.
  • Ensure a clean and well-maintained Store environment.

General Merchandising:

  • Lead recovery, sizing, and markdowns to meet Company standards.
  • Facilitate the receipt of merchandise and maintain organization in stockrooms.
  • Follow Company guidelines for product presentation and compliance.

Loss Prevention:

  • Adhere to the Loss Prevention Awareness Program, maintaining a strong presence on the sales floor.
  • Safeguard Company and customer information with integrity.

Front End Operations:

  • Ensure front-end associates adhere to Company best practices.
  • Manage lines and train associates to optimize customer service.

Fitting Room Oversight:

  • Keep fitting rooms clean and adhere to Company policies for garment tags.

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage cash pulls, bank deposits, and payroll administration as assigned by the Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Previous customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment.
  • Basic math skills relevant to retail.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to operate store equipment and spend significant time on your feet. Must frequently bend, lift, and perform physical tasks as required in a retail setting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee Retail Associates and Stockroom Leads (where applicable).
