Our client supports tactical communications modernization for defense stakeholders by delivering systems engineering, integration, and field support across ATH, OTM, and SATCOM networks. The team coordinates closely with program leadership and unit staff to align network operations, testing, and deployment with mission objectives.

Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $68.00 to $78.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Hawaii focal point and subject matter expert for tactical networks across ATH, OTM, and SATCOM.

  • Identify and report problems and discrepancies to program leadership and recommend resolutions when necessary.

  • Manage and document system configurations, trouble incidents, test procedures, and test execution and results.

  • Configure, validate, and test tactical network systems delivered to units.

  • Exercise technical leadership to align required actions, schedules, and resolve conflicting viewpoints on support operations.

  • Coordinate system development tasks with system engineering leads based on integration challenges and new requirements.

  • Provide systems engineering oversight for development and testing of SATCOM systems, baseband networking equipment, and software.

  • Coordinate across embedded support teams to implement plans that accomplish program objectives.

  • Represent the organization at planning conferences conducted by units and partner organizations.

  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to coordinate and integrate operations and objectives.

  • Develop and present briefings on systems engineering, network architecture planning, and test status.

  • Support network planning, setup, configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and teardown.

  • Work closely with unit CFSRs, S6 staff, and other personnel to coordinate activities.

  • Support uncommon tours including nights, weekends, and holidays as mission requirements dictate.

  • Perform occasional travel as required.

Experience Requirements:

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum eight years of related tactical network engineering experience.

  • Extensive experience in network engineering with a record of delivering high-quality solutions.

  • Experience supporting tactical and strategic communication networks within a military framework.

  • Experience with network planning, setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and testing in field environments.

  • Desired: Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Mail, Active Directory, SharePoint, and other user services.

  • Desired: Specialized engineering experience in industry or military (active, reserve, or National Guard).

  • Desired: Experience with Network Modernization products.

  • Mandatory: Active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Testing, or a related field.

  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional seven years of related tactical network engineering experience may be substituted.
