Job Classification: Hourly (at-will) Supervised by: IT Supervisor Primary Function The primary function of this position is to support the IT department. Tasks will primarily include shipping chromebooks to students as requested, contacting students and parents to collect loaned chromebooks, and processing returned chromebooks to add them back into school inventory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ability to work as a team to accomplish iSucceed's mission/goals and carry out Strategic Plan priorities relevant to your role Follows the Idaho Code of Ethics for education professionals Actively pursue equipment collection by contacting students and parents, following established procedures and working closely with the IT department Distribute equipment to students via shipping and/or in person Process returned equipment, following established procedure to register equipment back into inventory Provide technical support and assistance to students, staff and faculty by serving as the school contact for addressing hardware and software issues Works in collaboration with other IT staff, supervisor, administration and team to carry out internal tech processes Use Tech Ticket tracking and asset management systems to maintain physical inventory for student and staff equipment, and participate in scheduled license review processes in accordance with district practices. Uses an established "follow-up" communication system that ensures user issues are addressed and tickets are resolved in a timely manner Troubleshoots operation and software problems via multiple methods to determine cause of error or stoppage, provides workarounds in cases where the problem is software related or escalate to system provider technical support if required Answers emails, calls, voicemails and support tickets in a timely manner, emphasizing efficient solutions Provide on-board training of system(s) and equipment for new students and staff both in person and remotely Assist office staff with mailing school materials Follow applicable federal, state and district requirements regarding student data and technology Collaborate with school staff and faculty for meetings and trainings as needed, as well as providing specific technical training for all staff when needed Follows a plan for professional development and actively seeks out opportunities to grow professionally by learning about new technologies and hardware Available for on-call hours if warranted Travel as needed for school orientation/events to deliver hardware/provide technology support in person Ability to work as a team to accomplish iSucceed's goals and carry out Strategic Plan priorities relevant to your role Follows the Idaho Code of Ethics for education professionals Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge and Skills Ability to exemplify iSucceed's Core Values in work performance Ability to work under pressure, pay attention to detail, meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks and deal with difficult individuals while maintaining composure. Knowledge or expertise with Chromebooks and web-based platforms Proficient in school, office and productivity applications/software (Office, Google applications for education, multimedia, cloud-based communications, office equipment) Ability to maintain professional confidentiality, with knowledge of FERPA guidelines and student data practices Excellent and diplomatic customer service, interpersonal communication skills involving in person, video conference, messaging and email interactions Knowledge or expertise with Google Apps for Education platform Ability to have regular and predictable attendance with duties, meetings and school events. Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent 1-3 years related experience or training Google Certifications held or willing to pursue Google Certifications Working Conditions The position is located in the Boise, Idaho office. The IT Technician will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers in an office environment, which can cause muscle strain. The position handles multiple tasks and is faced with constant interruptions. The position must be able to lift large boxes or luggage (up to 50 pounds) or heavier with assistance, must also be able to lift and bend repeatedly when stocking laptops and boxes.
