SUMMARY
The DevOps Engineer develops and supports modern infrastructure and platform solutions that support both internal development teams and software delivery worldwide. This role works on stable, scalable systems - on-premise and in the cloud - and contributes expertise to an innovation-driven team that focuses on automation, self-service and continuous improvement. The DevOps Engineer partners closely with architects, international teams, and external partners to develop future-proof solutions based on a diverse technology stack.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Optimize internal processes through standard solutions with a focus on self-service and knowledge transfer
- Develop and continuously improve automated processes to deliver infrastructure resources to development teams
- Execute releases in compliance with the highest requirements for security, performance, and availability, in close coordination with architects
- Create and maintain standardized infrastructure blueprints with documentation in coordination with an international team
- Operate and develop hybrid infrastructures with modern technologies and tools such as OpenShift, RabbitMQ, Oracle, Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD
- Performs other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the material-handling or industrial industry.
Travel: Up to 10% travel, domestically and internationally.
Skills & Abilities - Demonstrated experience with DevOps and end-to-end lifecycle management from development to operations
- Proficiency in IaC approaches and automation tools such as Git, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Azure DevOps
- Excellent analytical thinking and understanding of details and relationships.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a global team spanning several time zones and cultures.
- Ability to work independently and perform at a high level with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Ability to travel internationally as required to participate in global workshops and team events.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements - Ability to remain stationary at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and materials up to 20 lbs on occasion.
- Ability to use office equipment, computers, and various electronic devices constantly throughout workday.
- Ability to move around office environment and reach with hands and arms regularly.
- Ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing, on a frequent basis.
- Ability to focus and complete tasks throughout workday in office environment.
