Senior Research Consultant, Real World Evidence, Health Outcomes

Remote/Work from home

Join Oracle Life Sciences as a talented health outcomes researcher with a PhD in our Health Outcomes Research team within the Real World Evidence Group. This exciting opportunity allows you to lead the design, analysis, and publication of impactful health outcome studies, including patient surveys and large database analyses using electronic health records and claims data. You will also provide expert research consultation to both internal teams and external clients.

Your work will contribute significantly towards helping life science companies develop products that enhance people's quality of life. Our focus on consulting, data analytics, and real-world evidence equips clients to comprehensively understand the needs of patients, physicians, and payers, effectively navigate regulatory pathways, and achieve payer reimbursement and coverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Principal Investigator overseeing health outcomes studies, which includes writing research proposals, designing questionnaires, developing statistical analysis plans, conducting data analysis, and composing reports and manuscripts.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by successfully leading projects and delivering high-quality results on time.
  • Engage in business development activities, identifying opportunities, defining pricing strategies, and submitting compelling proposals.
  • Mentor and guide junior research staff.
  • Contribute to professional conferences by attending and presenting research findings.
  • Travel as necessary (approximately 10% travel required).

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years of cumulative work experience in health outcomes research and consulting.
  • At least 1 year in life sciences consulting with a proven record of executing real-world research studies.
  • A PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, epidemiology, health outcomes, or psychology is preferred.
  • Strong experience in survey design and quantitative methods, including patient-reported outcome measurement and preference studies.
  • Proficient in statistical methodologies such as regression, mixed models, and data reduction techniques.
  • A robust publication history with multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts.
  • Advanced data analysis skills using software such as SAS, SPSS, Stata, Mplus, and/or R.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic health records or healthcare claims data.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
