Description:

Restaurant Brands is on the lookout for an experienced Director of IT to support our Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operations. This essential role will ensure responsive technological support, optimized store performance, and alignment with global IT strategies. The successful candidate will serve as the key regional technology partner for operational leaders, vendors, and global teams, playing a pivotal role in scaling and modernizing our digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all in-store technology platforms including POS, networking, CCTV, kiosks, Wi-Fi, and payment systems.
  • Act as the main IT liaison for store managers and area coaches.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of technical issues by coordinating with helpdesks and external vendors.
  • Manage IT aspects during store openings, refurbishments, upgrades, and hardware lifecycle.
  • Maintain local vendor and service provider relationships, focusing on performance monitoring and service level agreement (SLA) enforcement.
  • Support budgeting, asset tracking, and reporting for technology operations.
  • Provide regular updates to the CIO on trends, performance risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Drive compliance programs and local pilot rollouts.
  • Deliver a communication plan to enhance insights into the needs of our US business.
  • Support the CIO in fostering relationships within the global IT team.
  • Monitor market dynamics and technology opportunities for our QSR operations.
  • Assist the President and Finance Director in ongoing IT strategy development.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and collaborate with the CIO and Finance Director to implement them.
  • Oversee daily IT operations in California, ensuring operational stability and monitoring the health of all technology used in restaurants.
  • Support migration to O365 and decommissioning of legacy technology.
  • Document the current state and target state of our technology architecture.
  • Help build a roadmap for technology in California, aligned with the CIO on standards and choices.

  • Work collaboratively with various functions to identify requirements and opportunities, translating them into actionable technology solutions.

  • Owner: Identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions alongside the Chief Information Officer.
  • Influence: Support the organization's technology strategy by collaborating with functional leaders and the Chief Information Officer in project planning and resource prioritization.

  • Key Indicators: Successful implementation of technology solutions within budget and timeline, user satisfaction, effective end-user feedback, and the overall effectiveness of utilizing the ERP system.
  • Key Interactions: Collaborate with HR Directors, Operations, and Users.
