This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Bellows Air Station in Waimanalo, Hawaii.
Duties include:
Receiving and confirming room reservations by letter, telephone, email, or personal contact.
Registering and assigning rooms to guests, making and issuing room keys, and escorting guests to rooms as needed.
Ensuring that only authorized patrons use government-sponsored quarters.
Calculating and posting charges to patrons' accounts and balancing totals with control records.
Accepting payment, making change, and presenting departing guest's checkout statements.
Preparing and safeguarding cash receipts, preparing daily cashier's report, daily activity report, and may prepare consolidated daily activity report.
Maintaining current checkout list.
Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Ensuring required information is received from guest and entered into guest folio.
Printing backup reports from property management system.
Ensuring housekeeping status of rooms is updated.
Recording and notifying appropriate person/organization of maintenance problems reported by guests.
Ensuring front desk area and lobby remains clean.
Processing night audit procedures and closing credit card machines nightly.
Maintaining the lost and found program.
Ensuring customer service is the first priority.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements include:
Completion of a background investigation with favorable results.
Experience in cash handling demonstrating the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems, and to make change when receiving payment from customers, or must be able to complete funds control/cash handling training within 6 months of employment.
General clerical work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated ability to perform satisfactorily in handling multiple tasks including typing skills and providing quality customer service.
Ability to read, speak, and write English.
Satisfactory completion of a Tier 1 background investigation.

A probationary period may be required.
