The Senior Principal Product Manager will envision, develop, and oversee the implementation of innovative products tailored for user needs. This role entails providing strategic insights and guidance to various functional teams, leveraging extensive technical expertise.
As a vital contributor, the Senior Principal Product Manager will spearhead complex technology initiatives that support the enterprise strategy and enhance operational reliability. You will play a key role in transforming business visions into scalable technological solutions, ensuring seamless integration with platforms like EHRs, telephony, data systems, and enterprise architecture. This position will serve as a crucial liaison between business and technology, driving transformation and innovation while ensuring operational integrity.
Essential Duties
Strategic Leadership & Transformation: Drive transformation initiatives that align technology roadmaps with business objectives and enhance clinical, operational, and customer experience outcomes. Promote innovation and scalability for new market explorations, services, and population expansion.
Stakeholder Management: Forge strong partnerships with senior leaders, business executives, and technical teams. Act as a trusted advisor, simplifying complex technical ideas into practical business insights. Foster alignment and consensus among diverse stakeholders to ensure clarity and shared responsibility for outcomes.
Cross-Platform Delivery: Oversee the comprehensive delivery of business capabilities across telephony, EHR, and data platforms. Manage dependencies, timelines, and coordination among teams to guarantee effective execution.
Governance & Risk Management: Assess and communicate the effects of architectural and integration choices on the business. Ensure compliance and reliability while proactively managing operational risks and facilitating issue resolution.
Operational Oversight: Forecast and manage the effects of system updates, outages, and enhancements. Collaborate with IT and business teams to address issues and escalate risks as necessary.
Reporting & Communication: Create clear, executive-level status reports and summaries. Transform technical updates into straightforward business language for leadership transparency.
Mentorship & Enablement: Guide junior product managers and analysts, promoting technical proficiency and structured delivery methodologies.
Eligibility and Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Product Management, Health Informatics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar) is necessary.
A minimum of seven years of experience in product management, enterprise systems, or healthcare technology strategy is required.
Extensive knowledge in enterprise architecture, data platforms, EHR systems, and telephony/contact center technologies is essential.
Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving transformative progress across technical and business areas.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at the executive level are a must.
A successful track record of excelling in fast-paced, growth-focused environments, balancing strategic foresight with operational execution.
Certification as a Product Manager (CPM), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), or an equivalent credential is required.
Preferred Attributes
A Master's degree, particularly in business administration, health informatics, public health, or a related field, is preferred.
Additional Information
This is a remote position.
The role may require travel up to 25% annually for stakeholder engagement and product development initiatives.

A minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wired cable or DSL connection is preferred.
Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may only be used with prior approval from leadership.
Employees residing and working from home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive bi-weekly payments to assist with internet expenses.
Humana will equip home or hybrid employees with the necessary telephone equipment for their roles.
Work should be conducted in a dedicated space free from interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While primarily remote, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be necessary.

Compensation: The estimated base salary for full-time employment is between $150,000 - $206,300 annually. This salary may vary based on various factors such as location and individual qualifications. This position is also eligible for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.
