Position Description

Job Summary:

The Journeyman supports Penhall Company's field operations in concrete cutting, coring, breaking, and demolition. This union position requires reliability, safety awareness, and a strong work ethic. Working under the direction of a Foreman, the Journeyman helps ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Penhall's quality standards. Training and advancement opportunities are available for qualified candidates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support daily field operations including concrete cutting, coring, breaking, and related demolition activities.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Assist foremen, operators, and other crew members as directed on job sites.
• Adhere strictly to Penhall safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Load, unload, and maintain equipment and job materials as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas during and after job completion.
• Follow directions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members.
• Travel to job sites as required, including out-of-town assignments, night shifts, and weekend work.
• Represent Penhall Company with professionalism on job sites and while operating company vehicles.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience on a construction job site required.
• Minimum of 2 years of continuous employment with the same employer strongly preferred.
• Verifiable previous employment required.
• Penhall will provide training for qualified candidates.
