Position Summary:

Banquet Servers provide attentive, courteous, and professional service during private events for Club members and guests. This role is responsible for setting up, serving, and cleaning banquet areas while maintaining high service standards, a positive attitude, and strong teamwork.

Positions are available for part-time and on-call staff, with the potential for full-time hours based on availability and Club needs. Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all state and local alcohol service laws and Club policies.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to members and guests.
  • Set up, serve, and clean banquet rooms and event spaces.
  • Take food and beverage orders and serve items according to service standards.
  • Pour and refill wine, coffee, water, and other beverages.
  • Clear soiled dishes and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
  • Assist with closing functions, including bussing, removing linens, and resetting rooms.
  • Report member or guest concerns or complaints to a supervisor immediately.
  • Attend staff meetings and pre-shift briefings as required.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Complete assignments as directed by the Banquet Captain or Manager.
  • Adhere to assigned schedules and support overall team operations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues while upholding all Club standards and policies.

Required Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Fine dining experience and wine knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge of food, wine, beer, and liquor service.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Team-oriented with a professional demeanor.
  • TB clearance required.
  • Valid liquor service card (Gray Card) required or obtained upon employment.

Work Schedule:

This role requires flexibility and availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and extended hours based on business needs. Work hours are driven by Club operations rather than a fixed schedule.

Work Environment:
  • Open-air dining outlets and meeting rooms throughout the Club.

Mental and Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to carry trays of food and beverages.
  • Ability to open wine bottles.
  • Standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments.
