Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adults to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.
Care Professional II provides Personal Care Services to support clients with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal hygiene needs. The position also includes assisting with day-to-day household tasks and helping maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-organized living environment. This role includes offering companionship, meaningful engagement, and emotional support, as well as preparing and serving meals, managing cleanup, and providing reminders for oral medications and hydration. Care Professionals also encourage healthy routines such as recommended exercises and nutritional habits. In addition to home-helper and companionship duties, the position provides specialized non-medical services, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, Parkinson's care, behavior-management support, and non-medical hospice services coordinated with hospice teams. Through these combined responsibilities, a Care Professional I ensures clients receive compassionate, reliable, and personalized support tailored to their daily needs. Accurate documentation of services provided and prompt communication regarding changes in the client's condition are essential parts of the role, ensuring continuity of care and client safety.
