Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Fire Alarm Technician in Honolulu, Hawaii to inspect, service, and commission fire alarm systems while ensuring code compliance and reliable protection for commercial buildings.

Responsibilities
- Perform annual, semi-annual, and quarterly fire alarm inspections
- Troubleshoot and diagnose fire alarm system issues in the field
- Service and repair fire alarm panels, devices, and wiring
- Program and configure fire alarm control panels
- Complete startup and commissioning of new fire alarm installations
- Document inspections with clear, professional reports
- Perform panel terminations and wiring connections
- Travel inter-island to support projects and service calls as needed
- Coordinate with AHJs and fire marshals on inspections and approvals
- Maintain safety compliance on all jobsites
Requirements
Must-Haves
- 2+ years of hands-on fire alarm technician experience
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 1, 70, 72, and 101
- Experience with fire alarm inspections, testing, and reporting
- Familiarity with panel terminations and testing equipment
- OSHA 30 certification
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders
Nice-to-Haves
- NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems (company will support)
- Experience with multiple fire alarm manufacturers
- Hawaii fire alarm license or low voltage license
- Background in commercial or institutional buildings
