FINANCE DIVISIONPROPERTY INVENTORY CLERK I (SR-10)SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position is under the direct supervision of the Property & Supply Manager. The incumbent assists in the maintenance of the inventory and inventory records of the section, in the preparation of intradepartmental and interdepartmental correspondence and reports and performs other related duties.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Receives, inspects, and records deliveries to the Property & Supply Section; compares delivery tags received against items ordered (some deliveries may weigh up to 50 lbs.); issues agency identification tags on acquired items (as needed); notifies and follows up with requesting element on their requested items.
- Obtains quotes, orders, coordinates deliveries, and follows up with vendors on department stocked supply items.
- Conducts physical and maintains up-to-date inventory in various computer inventory applications; maintains supporting documentation on the acquisition, transfer and disposal of items, as required by law, policy or practice.
- Prepares required documentation (including letters and memorandums) for the disposal of items; assists in the authorized disposal of inventoried and other department items.
Minimum Qualification RequirementsTraining and Experience: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school and two years of clerical experience, one of which shall have been in account recordkeeping or storekeeping work.
License Requirement: None
Knowledge of: Office practices; principles and methods of property inventory; supplies nomenclature.
