Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Project Engineer in Honolulu, Hawaii to support Project Managers on commercial mechanical construction projects with a clear development path to Project Manager.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings through approval
- Maintain project document control systems and ensure current revisions are distributed
- Support change order documentation and cost tracking
- Coordinate with subcontractors on schedules, deliveries, and field issues
- Prepare safety documentation including Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
- Compile close-out packages and warranty materials for project turnover
- Assist Project Managers with meeting notes, schedules, and client communication
- Track material deliveries and coordinate with procurement as needed
- Support field teams with technical information and drawing clarifications
Requirements
Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with a collaborative mindset
Nice-to-Haves
- Internship or prior experience in mechanical or commercial construction
- Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, or piping systems
- Experience with project management software (Procore, Primavera, etc.)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
