divh2Water Plant Technicians/h2pClean Harbors is seeking Water Plant Technicians for our Water Remediation Group. The Plant Technicians will work out of our facility in Kapolei, HI. This position is responsible for activities at customer sites and helping with onsite projects. Our group provides liquid and vapor filtration and other miscellaneous remediation site services./ppCurrent projects in HI, CA, WA, IL, LA, WI, NJ, MA, and MI, at times may work out of our Kalkaska or Mt Pleasant, MI locations on system and equipment builds. Will possibly travel to the Con USA as needed to help with other projects./ppPreferred location: Kapolei, HI/pulliMultiple shifts are currently available. Expect to work between 40-90 hours a week. Ensures proper use of equipment and immediately notifies supervisor of any mechanical failures or problems with equipment;/liliAssists in the field sampling activities and calibration of meters;/liliPerforms other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of Clean Harbors business, including, but not limited to running supplies, emergency response clean ups, etc./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required;/liliCDL B or A an asset but not required;/liliValid Drivers License and clean MVR;/liliAttention to detail;/liliComputer savvy;/liliAble to perform multiple tasks;/liliStrong mechanical ability preferred;/liliUnderstands the manpower and equipment required to complete assignments;/liliAvailable for 24 hour, on-call basis;/liliAbility to work with little or no direct supervision and an aptitude to complete assigned work;/liliKnowledge of chemicals helpful;/liliAbility to pass background check will qualify individuals to work on government sites;/liliKnowledge of equipment repairs and preventative maintenance helpful;/liliKnowledge of RCRA requirements/regulations helpful, training provided;/liliKnowledge of Department of Transportation DOT regulations, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) waste codes, manifesting and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR) helpful, training provided;/liliAbility to pass federal level background DBIDS checks after hire are required, if this is not passed it will likely result in separation from the company, as it is a requirement to work at this facility;/liliAll other duties as required by Management./li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliRequires pulling/pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, crawling, stooping and crouching in confined spaces; Requires walking, climbing, speaking, listening, color determination and clarity of vision at 2 feet or more (with or without lenses); Requires sitting for extended periods. Requires the ability to properly wear and use personal respirator equipment and other forms of personal protective equipment (PPE) including levels A,B,C,D , including full encapsulation PPE suits which can elevate body temperature substantially during strenuous exertion;/liliAvailable for 24/day on?call basis;/liliRequires speaking, writing, and listening in English;/liliPosition involves strenuous physical exertion.
