As a Chef De Partie, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, working closely with the Junior Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine to prepare outstanding dishes that reflect Disney's premium quality standards in flavor and presentation.
Your Responsibilities - How You Will Make a Difference
Take hands-on ownership of your designated section within the kitchen.
Lead and mentor Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs de Partie.
Follow company recipes diligently and assess plate presentation.
Efficiently organize and manage your responsibilities for daily service.
Ensure adherence to Disney Cruise Line and Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) standards.
Oversee the opening and closing processes for your production areas, coordinating with Cooks and Stewards.
Monitor the maintenance of kitchen equipment and report any issues to the Sous Chef.
Basic Qualifications - What You Will Bring to the Team
A minimum of two years of formal culinary training plus three years of related work experience, or at least six years of work experience with two years in a similar role.
Prior experience working on a vessel is essential.
Proficiency in all kitchen station operations.
Solid understanding of safe food handling procedures, including HACCP / USPH.
Ability to accurately follow and convert recipes.

This is a SHIPBOARD position.
You must:
Have a genuine interest in a career at sea, ready to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel.
Be prepared to fulfill safety roles and emergency responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan.
Uphold general safety management responsibilities as outlined in the Safety Management System in your operational areas.
If applicable, be open to sharing a cabin with fellow crew members and appreciate a multicultural environment with established rules and regulations.
Your Requirements:
Possess a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (Disney Cruise Line will assist with obtaining these documents).
Complete a pre-employment medical examination.
Provide a criminal background check.
Bring your own approved work shoes.
Disney Cruise Line maintains a drug-free workplace policy. All new hires must undergo drug/alcohol testing within the first week onboard and throughout their contracts. Failure to pass will result in immediate termination.
