Laborer

This position involves preparing, assisting, and cleaning various work areas, including those containing hazardous materials. You will be working in all types of weather and temperatures. The role is scheduled for Monday through Friday with some weekends, typically between 5:45 AM/6:45 AM and 3:00 PM/4:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assist in cleaning work areas.
  • Handle site clean-up and move materials efficiently.
  • Provide fire watch duties alongside welding crews.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols when working with hazardous materials.

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of painting, mechanics, and metal compositions.
  • Experience of 1-2 years in a similar role is preferred.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Capability to obtain a Rapid Gate ID.
  • Ability to provide US citizenship documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • TWIC certification is preferred.
  • MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR DBIDS
  • OSHA certification is beneficial.
  • Firewatch experience is advantageous.

Work Environment:

This role involves working outside in various weather conditions, supporting ship operations. The environment resembles a machine shop, and safety attire such as steel/composite toe boots and work pants (jeans are acceptable) is required.

Job Type & Location:

This is a permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
