Description:

Supervisory Intelligence Specialist

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST in the NAVAL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE SERVICE (NCIS) NCIS.

Duties
  • You will serve as the principal intelligence staff officer and advisor to the NCIS Executive Assistant Director for Pacific Operations (EAD PAC).
  • You will provide oversight and guidance to NCIS PAC-region Senior Intelligence Officers (SIOs) to facilitate alignment with Directorate of Intelligence and Information Sharing (DIIS) Programmatic Objectives and Strategic Plan.
  • You will manage/conduct inspections of PAC-region intelligence programs in coordination with EAD PAC inspections/visits.
  • You will identify and addresses DIIS resource challenges within the PAC-region.
  • You will coordinate intelligence matters among NCIS PAC-region Field Offices, DIIS program leadership, supported commands, and external partners.
  • You will apply knowledge and expertise in intelligence collection operations, the intelligence cycle, analytical principles and practices, and the geographic region, during regular engagements.
  • You will liaise with relevant Department of War (DoW), DON, Intelligence Community, Federal, state and local LE components, and DIIS counterparts.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision
  • You may be subject to a polygraph examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience providing full spectrum analytical support, including impactful production, to criminal, cyber, counterintelligence (CI), or counter terrorism (CT) investigations and operations;
  • Experience exercising initiative in identifying intelligence gaps, specifying collections requirements to fill those gaps, and/or developing analytical tools and methodologies to address those gaps;
  • Experience leading intelligence professionals to ensure relevance, timeliness, and accuracy of analytic products and outcomes;
  • Experience developing and mentoring a workforce, including current and future supervisors;
  • Experience executing organizational strategic guidance by defining program objectives, assessing resource requirements, establishing milestones, translating mission priorities into actionable tasks, conducting internal and/or external coordination, monitoring progress, and evaluating outcomes;
  • Experience communicating and coordinating across multiple platforms to ensure consistent messaging and outcomes affecting multiple units and organizations;
  • Experience developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external partners in support of production, law enforcement/counterintelligence efforts, and organizational priorities;
  • Experience providing accurate, professional and comprehensive briefings to senior leadership; and Experience representing organizational interests within the Intelligence Community (IC) and Law Enforcement (LE)) entities and operating environment.
