Nursery Worker I - Is supervise and participate in the propagation, cultivation, fertilization and care of plants in a nursery. What You Will Do. Perform landscaping and maintenance in planting strips, medians, islands, parks, bikeways, and other areas. Plant and maintain nurseries and beautification projects across the island. Prepare plant beds and soil mixes, including soil, compost, fertilizer, and other amendments. Maintain clean and safe facilities to reduce plant disease and safety hazards. Supervise daily work activities of assigned staff. Perform other related duties as needed. Special Working Conditions. Handle and apply chemicals, including working in treated areas. Work in remote locations without access to drinking water, restrooms, or electricity.
