The Firm :

Aligned Ventures is a high-performance firm scaling across Texas. We differentiate ourselves through extreme alignment: we are investors first and sponsors second. We back every acquisition with our own $30M+ balance sheet, co-investing 20% of the equity in everydeal. We currently operate 440 units in Houston and are actively buying, with a target of adding 600+ units in 2026 on our path to $1B AUM.

The Role :

We are seeking a Director of Investor Relations to lead our capital formation strategy. This is a senior role for an investment professional capable of managing the full investor lifecycle-from initial origination to closing and long-term retention. Your goal is to expand our partner base of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and Family Offices who align with our institutional value-add strategy.

Core Responsibilities :

• Pipeline Origination: Develop and execute independent strategies to identify and engage new accredited investors. You will be responsible for building your own pipeline and designing lead generation campaigns to bring onboard new investors
• Technical Presentation: Lead discussions with sophisticated investors regarding deal structures, underwriting assumptions, waterfall mechanics (IRR, Preferred Return, Catch-up provisions), and risk factors.
• Capital Execution: Manage the entire commitment process, ensuring investors move efficiently from initial interest to funding.
• Relationship Stewardship: Maintain high-touch communication with partners post-closing to ensure transparency, satisfaction, and reinvestment.

Required Qualifications :

• Experience: 5+ years of direct experience in Capital Raising, Private Equity Sales, or Real Estate Investment Banking.
• Track Record: Must be able to demonstrate a history of raising capital
• Financial Fluency: Demonstrated ability to discuss complex financial models and return metrics. You must be comfortable debating underwriting inputs with sophisticated LPs.
