Job Description

Office Depot has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic Department Manager. As a member of the management team, you will be responsible for supervising a specific area of the store including: Customer Service, Sales or Operations.

  • Promote customer satisfaction and assist customers with buying decisions.
  • Perform manager-on-duty functions and is responsible for opening and closing the store.
  • Observe, coach and provide feedback to associates on their use of the 5-Step Selling Process.
  • Achieve departmental and store established goals for planned sales and profit.
  • Provide input and feedback for the completion of performance appraisals, and assist with the delivery as well as developmental feedback to the associate.
  • Participate in the interviewing and selection process of newly hired associates who will be assigned within the Department Managers area of responsibility.

Qualifications
  • Formal education or equivalent work experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
