Job Summary: The Food Service Clerk will perform and coordinate the various administrative requirements of the food service department at Palolo Chinese Home. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of food service activities.

Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour - based on experience and skillset

Qualification Requirements:

  • High School diploma or general education equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the Food Service Industry
  • Valid driver's license and clear drivers abstract
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control and purchasing management
  • Proficiency in proper food handling techniques and sanitation
  • Ability to work with kitchen production equipment
  • Understanding of kitchen safety practices
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and push/pull at least 75 lbs.
  • Proficient in English language for effective communication
  • Basic understanding of LTC clinical nutrition
  • Proficiency in using computer software like Excel, Word, and Email
  • Demonstrated high standards of customer service

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily meal tray tickets and production sheets
  • Identify and resolve meal issues promptly
  • Input resident information and food preferences accurately
  • Submit supply orders to vendors weekly
  • Compile data for administrative reports
  • Assist with inventory management and rotation
  • Answer department inquiries and assist with meal deliveries
  • Support departmental activities as needed
