Join our dedicated team as a Landscape Maintenance Crew Member, where you'll engage in a variety of landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, irrigation, and snow removal (in applicable areas). This role is essential for maintaining the beauty and health of outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in diverse landscaping environments while handling various plant materials.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors about task progress.
• A driver's license is preferred for this position.

Training and Skills Development

• Learn and assist in landscape installation processes.
• Gain proficiency in basic planting and pruning techniques.
• Identify at least 25 common plants and 5 types of garden pests.
• Recognize weeds and understand basic irrigation repairs.
• Complete safety training and understand the appropriate use of PPE.

Equipment Operation

• Utilize landscape maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Report any equipment needing repair and fill out the appropriate tags.

Safety Standards

• Adhere to safety practices in all tasks and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance including wearing company uniforms.

Category Specific Duties

• Mowing: Operate push mowers, zero-turn mowers, and string trimmers.
• Pruning: Use loppers, gas-powered hedge trimmers, and chain saws appropriately.
• Bed Care: Apply herbicides correctly and manage weeds effectively.
• Landscape Installation: Safely lift and install heavy items and apply fertilizers.
• Irrigation: Replace heads, clear trenches, and troubleshoot issues.
• Snow Removal: Safely operate equipment and lift snow as required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and comply with local labor laws.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in landscaping is preferred.
• Knowledge of Mainscape Standards of Excellence is desirable.
• Ability to work within a team, comprehend instructions, and meet production standards.

Physical Requirements

• Must have full mobility to perform various physical tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Work in outdoor conditions and manage exposure to varying weather and noise levels.
