Pay: Up to $25 per hour, depending on experience

Job Summary

KAI Hawaii, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, accuracy in financial data entry, and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment. This position offers the opportunity to support various accounting functions within a dynamic and professional workplace.

Responsibilities

• Enter authorized Accounts Payable entries accurately and promptly into the accounting system.
• Communicate payment statuses to staff and vendors.
• Prepare, issue, and track customer invoices; proactively follow up on outstanding and delinquent accounts
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Process deposits on a timely basis
• Assist with monthly General Excise Tax filings.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate's degree or certification in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
• Familiarity with invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes
• Familiarity with general bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting software.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
