What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Perform accurate follow?up, reconciliation, and resolution of outstanding account balances
• Analyze and resolve outstanding receivables utilizing remittance reports and payment advisories
• Process third?party payer denials and related correspondence in a timely manner
• Collaborate with all departments to resolve edit errors and maintain job knowledge of insurance groups
• Respond to patient and insurer inquiries while ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines

What is Required (Qualifications)

• High School diploma or GED required
• 12 months of experience in accounts receivable, third?party medical billing, or revenue cycle
• Successful passage of a basic Medical Terminology course or CCHC Medical Terminology exam
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of EPIC or other hospital patient accounting systems
• Successful passage of the Patient Financial Services Qualifying Test
