Location: Remote (US, preference for West Coast)

Salary: $175,000 - $220,000 + Equity

What You Will Do

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain large-scale backend services powering a zero-trust security platform.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code in Python using the Django framework.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver seamless and secure user experiences.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain cloud-native systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction of core systems.
• Solve complex problems with innovative engineering solutions in the cybersecurity domain.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Python.
• Solid experience building and scaling web applications with Django or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with high ownership and autonomy.

Preferred

• Experience working in the cybersecurity or infrastructure SaaS space.
• Familiarity with zero-trust architectures and enterprise security concepts.
• Located on the West Coast with flexibility to occasionally meet at the Palo Alto office (not required).
• Prior contributions to scaling backend systems for enterprise or B2B environments.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base Salary: $175,000 - $220,000 (depending on experience).
