Job Title: Principal HR Systems Specialist

Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company

Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)

Location: Virtual

Shift: 1st Shift

Role Overview

This role supports Workday Advanced Compensation and Workday Time Tracking initiatives, including allowance plan configuration, compensation changes, country implementations, testing, and production deployments. The position also provides ongoing HR systems support and may assist with future implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Advanced Compensation (20-25 hrs/week)

  • Support allowance projects including inactivation and setup of new allowance plans
  • Configure eligibility and identify workers falling out of eligibility
  • Load allowance plans to workers
  • Build high-level test scripts and adjust configuration based on testing results
  • Coordinate configuration migration to Sandbox and Production with HRIT
  • Support primary compensation basis changes across regions
  • Provide day-to-day Advanced Comp support
  • Potential support for Advanced Comp implementation starting early 2026
Workday Time Tracking (10-15 hrs/week)
  • Support Japan WDTT implementation and go-live activities
  • Assist with UAT completion, configuration validation, and hypercare
  • Coordinate configuration migration to Sandbox and Production
  • Support WDTT fit-gap assessments for future country implementations
Required Skills
  • Strong Workday Advanced Compensation experience
  • Strong Workday Time Tracking knowledge
  • Advanced calculated field expertise
Additional Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain HR systems in collaboration with HR, IT, and vendors
  • Analyze HR technology capabilities to support workforce productivity
  • Recommend system enhancements and improvements
  • Provide consultation on HR programs, policies, and data processes
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience
  • Deep expertise in HR systems and industry practices
  • Project management knowledge preferred
