Oxford Solutions is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in analog design to join our client's team. This is a direct hire, hands-on role with approximately 50% of time spent on the production floor and about one week of travel each month.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs for inductors and magnetic devices for customers and prospects
• Provide quick and accurate design support, ranging from full/preliminary designs to follow-up inquiries
• Package design proposals to generate positive customer responses
• Maintain and improve inductor design software; research and develop new tools as needed
• Support production teams in the US and China, anticipating and answering technical questions
• Learn and apply hands-on use of electrical test tools to ensure design validation
• Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to support sourcing of materials and components

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics (EET preferred)
• Hands-on analog design experience required
• Experience in power design, transformer/inductor design, or electrical product testing strongly preferred
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% (1 week per month)
