A Brief Overview

As a Trainee Auto Glass Technician, you will receive comprehensive training to become a skilled auto glass professional. After completing our training program, you'll earn the Safelite SafeTech certification, equipping you with the fundamental skills needed to perform glass repairs, replacements, and recalibrations independently. We expect you to embody the Safelite Spirit by bringing a positive attitude and a service-oriented mindset to every customer interaction.

What You Will Do:

• Learn and develop your skills through hands-on and classroom training.
• Assist in the installation and repair of auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing.
• Study and pass tests to become a certified Safelite Technician.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, as well as utilize tools and chemicals throughout the workday.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Adhere to all company policies and standards.

What You'll Get:

• Starting pay of $22.25/hour, increasing to $26.50/hour post-training and certification.

Education Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred.

Experience Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in confined spaces.
• Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Valid state-issued driver's license necessary to operate a company vehicle.
• Outstanding customer service orientation with a focus on exceeding expectations.
• Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
• Willingness to work with chemicals safely as required.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying start and end times in accordance with customer needs.
• Proficient in using computerized diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to troubleshoot independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Professional appearance in adherence to company dress code and policies.
• Capability to maintain steady performance under pressure.
