Compliance Coordinator

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about supporting thriving communities? We are expanding our team and seeking a Compliance Coordinator to help uphold residential standards and ensure property consistency across our neighborhood associations in Kapolei, Hawaii. This contract-to-permanent role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a structured environment and value collaboration, transparency, and proactive problem-solving. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routinely survey residential and common areas to confirm alignment with community codes and safety benchmarks.
  • Address reported concerns related to covenant adherence, documenting and resolving issues in partnership with stakeholders and relevant departments.
  • Record and track compliance activities, providing thorough updates and reports to committee members and management as needed.
  • Facilitate the enforcement process for guideline infractions, adhering to group policies and maintaining respectful communication with property owners.
  • Review and process architectural, landscaping, or modification requests, verifying that supporting materials and appropriate fees are submitted.
  • Conduct secondary inspections on completed projects and communicate outcomes in writing to homeowners.
  • Serve as a resource to residents regarding community requirements, interpreting policies and guidelines clearly.
  • Prepare written notices and follow-up documentation summarizing compliance inspections and next steps.
  • Partner with other internal staff to maintain continuous compliance with local zoning and community standards.
  • Recognize and report facilities maintenance needs across the community.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and follow-through.
    • Excellent interpersonal and written communication, including the ability to address sensitive situations diplomatically.
    • Experience in compliance, property management, or a related field is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond proactively to emerging issues.
    • Hawaii residency is preferred due to frequent on-site visits.
