Medical Billing Representative
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Representative to support our billing operations. This role is responsible for a variety of functions, including medical billing and re-billing, payment processing, collections on outstanding accounts, records retention, handling medical records requests, and providing general administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• 
  Respond to billing inquiries from patients, clients, and insurance carriers
  
• 
  Manage incoming calls and provide excellent customer service
  
• 
  Update accounts and rebill claims, statements, or invoices
  
• 
  Process credit card payments and document account activity
  
• 
  Contact payors or patients for additional information
  
• 
  Reconcile billing and resolve claim discrepancies
  
• 
  Review denials, resubmit claims, and verify insurance eligibility
  

Qualifications:

Required:

• 
  High school diploma or equivalent
  
• 
  Minimum of 6 months experience in customer service or public contact
  
• 
  At least 6 months of medical billing or collections experience, or successful completion of Billing Externship
  

Preferred:

• 
  Experience submitting and/or processing medical insurance claims
  
• 
  Familiarity with alphanumeric data entry
  
• 
  Previous experience with Xifin billing software
  

Additional Information:
Temp to hire, Full time, on-site, M-F 8:30am - 5:00pm
Location: Halawa, HI
Parking: Street parking
Pay: $20.00/hr
