Responsibilities

• Operate a company?provided shuttle/sedan safely and courteously, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations; transport disabled veterans within the designated service area and according to the assigned schedule.
• Perform pre? and post?trip vehicle inspections; report any mechanical or maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist passengers, including those using wheelchairs or mobility aids, in boarding and alighting; properly secure wheelchairs and scooters for safety.
• Maintain effective communication with dispatch; report deviations, accidents, passenger incidents, medical or behavioral concerns, and vehicle problems; complete written reports accurately and promptly.
• Provide guidance and inform passengers about rules and regulations to ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience.
• Assist passengers with loading and stowing luggage, ensuring careful handling and proper securing during transit.
• Meet physical requirements: lift 75?lbs from the floor; push/pull 80?lbs horizontally and at an incline; apply up to 50?lbs of hand force; climb steps; kneel and reach the floor; sit for prolonged periods (over 2?hours).

Pay & Benefits

• Starting wage: $18.10 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to store a company?designated passenger van with the Navarre Corporation logo at your residence.
• Flexible availability to work various shift hours and days to accommodate veterans transportation needs.
• Successful completion of a pre?employment background check with MVR and drug screen.
• Ability to provide housing for a commercial utility van at your residence, bearing the company logo for brand visibility.
